"Zero Tolerance In Johor" — Runners Detained For Wearing Inappropriate Clothes At Fun Run
The run was held in Desaru, Johor over the weekend.
Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has announced that his state will not tolerate indecent acts after several participants in a fun run in Johor were seen dressing inappropriately
In a post on X on Sunday, 6 October, he wrote, "Action has been taken and the culprits have been arrested. Zero tolerance in Johor."
This comes after photos of some runners at the 2024 Pan Asia Hash, held in Desaru, Johor from 4 to 6 October, went viral.
While most participants wore the event's red T-shirt, some individuals chose to wear their own attire, including several men in red dresses and a man in a silver cardboard cutout with his buttocks exposed.

Johor police chief Datuk M Kumar said three men have been detained following allegations of inappropriate conduct during the run
According to the New Straits Times, three men, including a local and two foreigners aged between 39 and 70, were detained at 10pm from a local hotel on Saturday, 5 October.
Kumar said initial investigations revealed that the runners' actions were individual and not set by the run organisers.
The case is being investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for insulting behaviour and Section 294 for obscene acts in public.
Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi emphasised that the event was not organised by the state government or any state agency
"The Johor state government wishes to make it clear that it had no involvement in the organisation of this event. Neither the government nor any state agency granted permission or leniency for any activity that disrespects the sensitivities of Islam in Johor," he said in a press statement.
He added that the issue will be taken seriously as the indecent acts undermine the state's image and religious sovereignty.
