Following LCW's appointment, OCM president Datuk Mohammad Norza Zakaria said that the badminton athlete will be invited to attend a seminar on the role of Chef De Mission this August
"The appointment is good exposure for him and we will invite him to join a seminar on Chef De Mission for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020, which will be held in August," said president Norza, as quoted by FMT.
"He retired as a very successful athlete and so far he has only seen from afar the management process involving multi-sports games. Chong Wei was involved in all major games in the world and the Olympic Games are no stranger to him," he added.

He added that based on the number of athletes who have qualified so far, only the role of Chef De Mission is needed, as reported by FMT.
