Lee Zii Jia Beats Lakshya Sen & Secures Malaysia's Second Olympic Bronze Medal

He is the third Malaysian to win a men's singles medal for badminton in the Olympics.

Malaysia's men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has won the country's second Olympic medal in Paris!

He beat India's Lakshya Sen 13-21, 21-16, 21-11 in the bronze medal match at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena in Paris tonight, 5 August.

According to The Star, Lee is the third Malaysian to win a men's singles medal for badminton in the Olympics, after 1996 Atlanta Games bronze medallist Datuk Rashid Sidek and Datuk Lee Chong Wei, who has three silvers from Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio de Janeiro 2012.
