Pearly Tan Says She Loves Playing 'Mobile Legends' After Intense Training & Matches
The 24-year-old once said that if she were not a shuttler, she would be a professional 'Mobile Legends' player.
National women's doubles badminton player Pearly Tan has revealed what she does after intense training sessions and matches — whip out her phone to play Mobile Legends
The 24-year-old world No. 6 shuttler said playing the game helps her relieve stress, reported the New Straits Times.
"I love playing Mobile Legends. It's a great way to relax after a tense match or exhausting training session.
"That, and catching up on sleep whenever possible," Tan said during an event over the weekend.
She mentioned that her gaming buddy is world No. 8 mixed doubles player Toh Ee Wei. The duo have maintained a close friendship since their successful junior careers, notably at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships in Jakarta and the World Championships in Markham, Canada.
"I actually got 'Ah Toh' to download the game so we could play together," Tan added.

This is not the first time Tan has professed love for the multiplayer online battle arena game
In a 'get-to-know-us' video with her badminton partner Thinaah Muralitharan in October, Tan mentioned that if she were not a shuttler, she would pursue a career as a professional e-sports player.
"I might choose e-sports because I love playing games, especially games like Mobile Legends," she said.
Responding to that, Thinaah joked that Tan might be able to qualify for the Olympics if she was involved in e-sports.
