Pearly-Thinaah Go Down Fighting Against China's No 1 Pair In Paris Olympics Semi-Finals

National women's doubles pair Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan went down against China's world No. 1 pair, Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan, in the Paris 2024 Olympics semi-finals today, 2 August

Despite the defeat, the pair, who are competing at the Olympics for the first time, did put up a tough fight against the four-time world champions, ending the game in a rubber set.

Pearly-Thinaah lost 12-21, 21-18, 15-21 to Chen-Jia at the Porte De La Chapelle Arena in Paris.

Nonetheless, the Malaysian duo still have a chance at clinching Olympic medals

Pearly-Thinaah will face Japan's Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida for a shot at winning a bronze medal.
