Malaysian mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei's journeys have come to a heartbreaking end at the Paris 2024 Olympics today, 1 August

The pair, ranked ninth in the world and competing in their first Olympics, lost 19-21, 14-21 to South Korea's Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun in the quarterfinals after Toh sustained an injury early in the game.

Bernama reported that the 24-year-old fell down while attempting to return a shuttle in the first set, forcing her to wear a back support brace and play through the pain.
