Online dating app Bumble may introduce an artificial intelligence (AI) feature aimed at increasing users' chances of meeting and dating the right match

Speaking at the Bloomberg Technology Summit last week, Bumble's founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, offered audiences a sneak peek into the future of dating.

Herd said that in the future, Bumble may create an 'AI dating concierge' feature to assist its users in evaluating their compatibility before deciding to pursue a relationship.

However, it's unclear if the feature is already in the works since Herd's reveal coincides with her stepping down as Bumble's chief executive officer after helming the role for a decade.

Bumble's 'AI dating concierge' feature is envisioned to help its users by swiping and flirting with other users

Herd explained that Bumble intends to help people narrow down their matches. The 'AI dating concierge' feature could also help the dating app's users flirt on their behalf.

"There is a world where your dating concierge could go and date for you, with another dating concierge," Herd said, according to The Independent.

"Then you don’t have to talk to 600 people. It will go scan all of San Francisco for you and say, 'These are the three people you really ought to meet.' That’s the power of AI when harnessed the right way."

AI could also help Bumble users become better conversationalists, and boost their confidence while improving their dating lives in the long run

Herd said that AI could be the solution to dating fatigue, a phenomenon experienced by single individuals who suffer burnout due to being overwhelmed and not receiving the reciprocation they desire.

"You could share your insecurities. 'I just came out of a breakup. I have commitment issues.' And it could help you train yourself into a better way of thinking about yourself. And then it could give you productive tips for communicating with other people," Herd explained.

She didn't reveal when the 'AI dating concierge' feature would be released.
