The new hand gesture detection feature on Google Meet uses AI to detect when you raise your hand during a video call.
Here's how to enable Google Meet's Hand Raise Gesture feature:
STEP 1: In the meeting, select 'More Options' and click on 'Settings'
STEP 2: On the left, click on 'Reactions'
STEP 3: Turn on Hand Raise Gesture
The hand-raising gesture is off by default but can be turned on in the settings.
After enabling the Hand Raise Gesture, you need to follow these steps to trigger detection:
STEP 1: Ensure that you're clearly visible to the camera
STEP 2: Keep your hands away from your face and body
STEP 3: Hold up your hand until the detection circle turns green
