Looking For New Digital Accessories? These Smart Earrings May Be For You
The smart earring can detect your body temperature.
You can now acquire earrings in addition to watches and bands, adding another smart device to your collection
The smart earring, named the Thermal Earring by its founders, is currently in the prototype stage and is slated to be available for purchase in the upcoming months.

The smart earring has two temperature sensors
The first sensor is attached magnetically to the wearer's ear, while the second one is designed to measure room temperatures.
During testing, users reported that the smart earring provides more accurate sensing of skin temperature compared to a smartwatch. Besides that, they complimented that the entire package is "about the size and weight of a small paperclip."
Additionally, you can personalise it with resin material or with a gemstone without affecting accuracy. The earring needs to be charged once every 28 days and can connect via Bluetooth.
The earring has earlobe temperatures that fluctuate more than core body temperature
The earring detects earlobe temperatures, which fluctuate more than core body temperature.
In several tests, the earring was able to detect temperature variations correlated with eating, exercising, and stress. The researchers said this shows potential for the earring to be able to monitor signs of stress, eating, exercise, as well as ovulation
The researchers are planning to implement broader health monitoring features such as heart-rate monitoring. The best part is that the earring may have the ability to be charged via sunlight or kinetic energy from movement
