WhatsApp is in the midst of launching a new photo and video quality option that's going to make everyone happy

Named HD, the feature will make it easier for people to send pictures or videos in high quality by preserving their dimensions.
According to WABetaInfo, it is possible to choose a better quality option when sending photos or videos, and the option only appears when you select a photo/video large in size. However, this doesn't mean that you can send them in their original quality, as light compression is still implemented.
The feature is only available to beta testers as of now, but will be rolling out to more people in the coming weeks
