Touch 'n Go eWallet Users Can Trade And Invest With Bursa Malaysia Starting Next Year
The feature is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2024.
TNG Digital is partnering with Bursa Malaysia and Affin Hwang Investment Bank to enable share trading via Touch 'n Go eWallet
Bursa Malaysia is one of the largest stock exchanges in Southeast Asia. It is responsible for the comprehensive management of various aspects of stock trading, including listing, trading, and settlement services.
This partnership will enhance accessibility for young and tech-savvy users, making it easier for them to become retail investors.

Touch 'n Go eWallet users will be able to access a large number of investment products listed on Bursa Malaysia
Using the app's GOinvest feature, verified users can monitor their Central Depository System (CDS) account and portfolio on the app, as well as view real-time market information and execute trades. Users will also be able to invest in Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).
Aside from that, Affin Hwang Investment Bank plays the role of the broker partner to guide investors by providing greater market access, research resources, real-time market data, and customer support.
Do note that if you don't have a CDS account yet, you'll have to open one through Affin Hwang Investment Bank's platform before you can view it on your Touch 'n Go eWallet.
Furthermore, Touch 'n Go eWallet's GOinvest feature serves as an educational tool
To encourage new investors, the feature will provide intuitive trading interfaces and easy-to-understand educational resources, so you can trade with confidence.

While users can look forward to share trading via Touch 'n Go eWallet sometime in the first quarter of 2024, you can already start investing in unit trusts with GOinvest
In case you didn't know, GOinvest currently offers various trust funds for you to invest in, such as CIMB Principal unit trusts and 17 units from Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB). Similarly, you'll need to open an ASNB account by going to the bank or using a different app.
