Geely's Premium EV Line Zeekr Enters The Malaysian Market

To mark its entry into the Malaysian market, Zeekr has launched two exciting models: the luxurious 009 MPV and the sporty X SUV. These vehicles represent the start of Zeekr's journey in Malaysia in partnership with its franchise holder, Sentinel Automotive.

Both available versions have powerful dual motors, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. With a long-range battery, it can travel up to 582km on a single charge and supports fast charging for added convenience.  

Inside, the 009 offers comfortable seating for six or seven passengers, with features like ventilated, massaging seats and a premium entertainment system that includes a large infotainment screen, a roof-mounted display, and a 30-speaker Yamaha sound system. It's also packed with safety features, including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and advanced driver-assistance systems.  

The 009 comes in a variety of stylish colours for both the exterior and interior, such as Phantom Black, Electric Blue, and Crystal White Pearl, while its interior colour scheme includes Black, Stone Grey. and Polar White, as well as Midnight Blue and Polar White.

The all-wheel drive Flagship model boasts impressive acceleration, going from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The rear-wheel drive Premium model is a bit more laid-back but still offers a respectable 0 to 10km/h time of 5.6 seconds. Both versions have a decent driving range and support fast charging.  

Safety is a key feature of the Zeekr X, with a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, seven airbags, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These include features like adaptive cruise control, automatic lane changes, and parking assistance, making it a safe and convenient vehicle for everyday driving.

The luxurious seven-seater Zeekr 009 is priced at RM349,800, while the six-seater version comes in at RM359,800. Meanwhile, the Zeekr X compact SUV starts at RM155,800 for the Premium model, with the Flagship AWD variant priced at RM172,800.

Zeekr is backing its vehicles with a 5-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty. As an added incentive, the first 500 buyers will receive a special package that includes a home charger, portable charger, solar film, and a sunshade cover for the Zeekr X.   

To support its customers, Sentinel Automotive has opened flagship showrooms in Petaling Jaya and Sunway City, with plans for further expansion across Malaysia in the coming years.
