Have you ever shrugged off drive-in cinemas because the screens look too small?

Say no more. The new drive-in cinema at 1 Utama Shopping Centre has a whopping three-storey tall screen!

The al fresco cinema - named CineDrive - is located only a few steps away from the mall at Dataran Outdoor Carpark.

Introducing the new entertainment in town on Facebook yesterday, 17 September, 1 Utama Shopping Centre said that the screen is about 42ft tall and 52ft wide.

That is 1.5 times the size of a badminton court!

According to the cinema's website, the screen is lifted one-storey off the ground to ensure that there will be no obstructions even for the viewers at the back.

There will be a total of 22 blockbuster movies to choose from

Movies such as Detective Pikachu, Crazy Rich Asians, Joker, Aquaman, and The Greatest Showman, among others, will hit the BIG screen between 19 and 27 September.

To receive the audio for the movie, moviegoers just have to tune their FM radio frequency to a specific channel and enjoy in the comfort of their cars.

Everyone can choose to turn on their engine while the movie is running because the organisers have purchased carbon credits from solar projects to offset the emissions.

The ticket price starts at RM80 and it comes with a large popcorn and two drinks

You can add on snacks by paying an extra RM15.

There are also VIP tickets where 'seats' are assigned and are not based on a first come, first served basis.

For those who own a ONECard, the mall's loyalty card, you can get 15% off the total ticket price.

For more information, you can visit the Facebook post here or the cinema's website here.
