Douglas Lim Collabs With SonaOne And Drops The Catchiest Satire Track. NGL, It Slaps!
Brb, adding this song to my morning playlist!
Calling all hip-hop music fans, you'll want to give this catchy song a listen!
Stemming from his dream to produce a hip-hop inspired song, Douglas Lim finally had the chance to make his debut in the hip-hop scene by collaborating with Malaysia's well-known rapper, SonaOne, on their latest release, ADUHH!!!.
Adding yet another title to his ever-growing portfolio, the comedian, emcee, and actor can now be known as a singer-songwriter with this upbeat and catchy song, as he was involved in producing it.
Douglas mentioned, "It has always been my dream to record a hip-hop song, and when SonaOne agreed to help me out with this, I was over the moon. I practised and practised really hard before recording but he made the process fun and exciting."
Combining humour and sick beats, the song goes out to all the men who are in need of a boost of confidence and self-love
Due to the amazing brotherly chemistry between the two artists, the process of creating ADUHH!!! was seamless, as both of them were able to put together their personalities and complement the meaning behind the song.
"I wanted the song to be upbeat and have a play on being almost uplifting with the sound to match Douglas' wordplay. Music and comedy have always been able to co-exist with the likes of global names like Weird Al Yankovic, Jack Black, and even locally from Jin Hackman, so I knew this project would be a breeze to make," shared SonaOne.
If you need a new morning anthem to help you feel good and get a good dose of confidence, then ADUHH!!! should be your go-to track!
"Think of it as a guy who's as comfortable and confident in himself that he believes he's so handsome it hurts," said Douglas with a laugh.
