Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is hosting a free live music event, KL Jazz in the Park, surrounded by greenery

The show will take place on 18 April at Panggung Anniversari in Perdana Botanical Gardens, one of KL's most scenic public parks.

Running from 2pm to 11pm, you can drop by for a relaxed afternoon or stay through as the sun sets and the night settles in. Either way, it's an easy weekend plan to ease into.

This isn't the first time KL has seen jazz in the park. DBKL previously hosted a similar event in 2019, and this latest edition continues its effort to make live music more accessible in public spaces.

Here's the performance lineup this month:

Traditopia – A 13-piece ensemble that blends jazz with Malay folklore and storytelling, creating something that feels both traditional and experimental at the same time.

Tuku' Kame' – A Sarawak-based group known for incorporating instruments and influences from various ethnic groups across Borneo, adding a rich cultural layer to their sound.

Akasha – A fusion group that mixes Malay and Indian classical elements with jazz and even a hint of blues, known for their energetic live sets.

Attap Band – DBKL's own resident band, rounding out the lineup with a more familiar local touch.

There'll be food trucks and coffee vendors on-site, so you can grab a bite or sip while you enjoy the performances

It's also a family-friendly event, making it a nice option if you're looking for something casual to do with kids, friends, or even just a solo reset in nature.

While the event is completely free, you'll need to register in advance via DBKL's Tempah@KL platform to secure your spot

Registration can only be done on mobile, not desktop, so plan accordingly.

Once you're in, you'll receive an e-ticket in your account.
