'Game of Thrones' Snags The Most Nominations In The 2018 Emmy Awards

The 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced today and people were blown away
HBO's 'Game of Thrones' receives the most Emmy nominations of any programme
The hit show is among several HBO series to receive nominations, leading with an outstanding number of 22 out of the 108 Primetime nominations in the upcoming 70th Emmy Awards.
Other shows include 'Westworld' with 21 nominations, 'Barry' with 13 nominations and 'Silicon Valley' with 7 nominations.
'Game of Thrones' was first nominated in the 2011 Emmy Awards
The show won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award in 2011. Then in 2015, GoT took home awards for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

HBO has been the most nominated network for the past 17 years, but have now been dethroned by Netflix
Netflix has dethroned HBO as the most nominated network, with 112 nominations.
Some of the Netflix series nominated include 'Stranger Things', 'The Crown', and 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'.
The night is indeed dark and full of terrors.
