Earlier today, 28 January, the exciting and fun-filled Flydol 2022 finale was broadcast live on Fly FM's Facebook

Hosted by Douglas Lim, Juanita, Natalie, Ryan & Fifi, the finale marked the culmination of the radio station's nationwide search for a fresh new face to join their current lineup of radio announcers.

The finale saw finalists Suraya Elysha Arnold, Gabriel Noel Pountney, and Rika Adrina battling it out to claim victory, having been shortlisted after the competition's two-week submission period.

And emerging as champion was... Elysha Arnold!

Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, this spunky girl landed herself a RM60,000 contract with Fly FM!

During the Flydol 2022 competition, the finalists were judged through a few challenges, one of which was to broadcast live with Fly FM radio presenters for a week

Based on their performances during those challenges, an overall score was given by a panel of judges consisting of Fly FM's morning announcers, the management, and most importantly, Fly FM listeners who voted via the website.

"It was really a tough battle to choose between the three finalists," said Pietro, Content Director of Fly FM

"The other judges and myself literally changed our minds on who we thought could win as all three stepped up their game every single day, but finally, we concluded that Elysha would make a great addition to our family.

"Gabe and Rika did not disappoint as well, and we have offered them on air segments during the weekends because we felt that they too can be very much a part of the future of Fly FM," he added.

Congratulations, Elysha! :D
