Movie lovers in Petaling Jaya can now experience Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey on one of GSC's most advanced cinema screens yet
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is officially opening its newest IMAX with Laser hall at GSC IOI Mall Damansara on 16 July, making it the sixth IMAX with Laser location in Malaysia.
Unlike a standard cinema hall, IMAX with Laser is designed to deliver a more immersive movie experience from the moment the lights go down
It uses advanced laser technology to produce brighter, sharper images with more vibrant colours and deeper blacks.
Paired with IMAX's giant screen and immersive sound system, it makes movies feel more lifelike and cinematic than in a regular cinema hall.
Sound gets an upgrade too. IMAX with Laser uses an advanced sound system that delivers clearer dialogue, deeper bass, and more immersive surround sound, making everything from explosive action scenes to quiet conversations feel more realistic.
On top of that, many blockbuster films are specially formatted for IMAX, allowing you to see up to 26% more of the picture in selected scenes compared to a standard cinema screen. That means you'll experience more of what the filmmakers intended, especially in visually spectacular movies.
To celebrate the opening, GSC is offering an introductory IMAX with Laser ticket price of RM28.50 at GSC IOI Mall Damansara
After the launch period, tickets will be priced at RM36.50.
As an extra bonus, moviegoers who purchase two IMAX tickets at GSC IOI Mall Damansara will also receive an exclusive IMAX metal pin, while stocks last.
