Rock Band Muse Was Spotted In Langkawi Ahead Of Their Upcoming Concert In KL
Imagine going to Langkawi and randomly seeing Muse.
Have you ever gone on a holiday and randomly bumped into a celebrity?
This was the case for a few Malaysians who came across English rock band Muse at Langkawi International Airport.
One Malaysian who was present at the airport, Dr Nikram, who was on an official Ministry of Health visit to Langkawi, was able to catch a moment of two members from the group in a brief TikTok posted to his page.
In the 24-second clip, Nikram was standing by an aisle at the Langkawi International Airport before being passed by Chris Wolstenholme, the bass guitar player for Muse, and Matt Bellamy, the lead vocalist, as they made their way through the VIP lounge of the airport with staff members.
Wolstenholme was carrying a toddler in his arms, and both men politely said hello to Nikram and other Malaysians who were present in the lounge, with Bellamy waving to Nikram as he walked past him.
Presumably their families, multiple other people in their entourage also followed behind the men, including a blonde woman who was with two little children.
In another extended video that was uploaded to Muse's Malaysian fan page on Instagram, Dominic Howard, the band's drummer, was seen walking ahead of his other two bandmates — showing that all three members of Muse are in Langkawi.
Check out that Instagram video below:
Surprised to see all of the three-person group, other Malaysians who were present in the VIP lounge also whipped out their phones to capture a brief moment of the men
The band is set to perform at National Stadium Bukit Jalil this coming Saturday, 29 July at 8pm as part of their Will of the People World Tour.
Their upcoming performance is said to be the band's first live concert in Malaysia after 16 years, having previously performed at Stadium Negara back in 2007 for over 6,000 concert-goers as part of their Black Holes and Revelations tour.
According to details of their current tour, Kuala Lumpur is the only stop the band is making in Asia.
Speaking to SAYS, Nikram stated that the band landed in Langkawi at 7.30pm yesterday, 24 July, with rumours that they would be on the island for a short holiday. However, he did note that the promotional company behind Muse's tour in Malaysia, Hello Universe Asia, allowed those in the lounge to take videos of the group members as they walked by them.
Receiving more than 100,000 views on TikTok at the time of writing, many people also expressed their excitement over Muse being in Malaysia ahead of their live performance
Some users praised the band for spending time with their families before their concert, saying that it was clear by how happy everyone looked in the TikTok.
"Wow, having a holiday with the family first. The members of this band are definitely family men," said one user.
