Spotify Wrapped 2022 Now Has Personality Types. Here's What Yours Means
Spotify exposing us, one Spotify Wrapped at a time :P
As the year comes to a close, Spotify returns with their annual Spotify Wrapped, and this time, it comes with personality types
Spotify Wrapped is every music lover's most anticipated annual wrap-up event on Spotify. Each Spotify Wrapped summarises the year of the listener within a playlist, most played artistes, and details on their listening trends.
This year, Spotify introduces a new concept: personality types based on the listening habit of the listener.
Before diving into what each letter actually means, let's take a look at all 16 of the listening personality types:
To curate your listening personality type, Spotify uses these four metrics to categorise you
Here's a breakdown on what each letter actually means:
- Familiarity (F) versus Exploration (E)
If you listen to the same artistes, then your listening type probably starts with an F (Familiarity). However, if you like exploring new music, then your listening type starts with an E (Exploration). - Loyalty (L) versus Variety (V)
Listening to the same tracks on repeat may make you an L (Loyalty), whereas listening to a lot of music before repeating them makes you a V (Variety). - Newness (N) versus Timelessness (T)
When new music comes out and you're first in line to listen, you're an N (Newness), but if you prefer discovering all music, then you're a T (Timelessness). - Commonality (C) versus Uniqueness (U)
If you're part of the crowd cheering for a popular artiste, then you're a C (Commonality). On the other hand, if you prefer indie or undiscovered artistes, then you're a U (Uniqueness).
