TGV Cinemas has announced that it will officially open its newest outlet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 18 June 2026
The cinema chain shared the announcement on social media, revealing that tickets are already on sale ahead of the opening.
"We're thrilled to announce the opening of our newest TGV cinema at Pavilion KL this Thursday, 18 June 2026!" TGV said in its announcement.
Visitors can expect an upgraded movie-watching experience at the new location, which takes over the cinema space that has seen several operators over the years.
The Pavilion KL cinema space has changed hands multiple times
For more than 12 years, the space was occupied by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), which first opened its 13-screen multiplex at the mall in 2007.
However, GSC ceased operations there in February 2020 after its tenancy ended.

Following GSC's departure, China-based cinema chain DADI Cinema took over the location and began operations in 2021.
Earlier this year, DADI Cinema announced that it would be closing its Pavilion KL outlet after more than four years, following the end of its tenancy agreement. The cinema officially shut its doors on 5 March 2026.
