You Definitely Missed This Sneaky "Cameo" In 'Spider-Man: Far From Home'
Blink and you'll miss it!
It's not like we didn't see it coming. Despite his adorable connection with Spider-Man and striking resemblance to Tony Stark while wearing sunglasses, Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio turned out to be a villain after all.
Not gonna lie, it was one of the most frustrating moments in my life when Peter Parker handed EDITH over to Beck.
While Mysterio spent most of the movie in his ridiculous costume and a mo-cap suit, a recent Instagram post by Jake Gyllenhaal telling fans to "look closer" hinted that Beck may have been lurking around in this "sexy dad outfit"
That's one detail we definitely missed, but thanks to eagle-eyed fan @tomftmarvel, we now know where to look for Sneaky Mysterio in a cap and leafy shirt:
To refresh your memory, the above is the scene in Venice where Peter stared longingly at MJ surrounded by pigeons, right before he went into a shop to buy her a black dahlia necklace.
Beck's casual appearance so early in the film is a sneaky hint that Mysterio and his heroics are not what they seem.
Most amusingly, he looked straight into the camera, folks. Talk about breaking the fourth wall!
In addition, the fan also spotted Guterman - a crew member of Beck's who made up stories about alternate Earth and the Elementals - in the background right before the water "Elemental" attacked
It's also worth noting that at this point, audiences were not introduced to Quentin Beck's crew of disgruntled former Stark Industries employees just yet.
