Freaky Friday 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2003 Disney movie Freaky Friday, is currently in production.
Lindsay Lohsan shared a behind-the-scenes snippet of the pair shooting, with a caption, "We're back!"
1. The release date for the movie is planned for 2025
According to Disney Studios and IMDb, production is underway and the movie will be released in US theatres sometime next year.
There is no confirmed date yet for Malaysian cinemas.
2. The original cast is returning — with some new additions
And yes, that includes Chad Michael Murray.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are returning to play Tess Coleman and Anna Coleman, respectively.
Some new additions include Maitreyi Ramakrishnan from Never Have I Ever and Manny Jacinto from The Good Place.
Original cast members Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Lucille Soong, Rosalind Chao, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, and Stephen Tobolowsky are also returning.

According to Disney's synopsis, Freaky Friday 2 "picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice."
