[VIDEO] 'Divergent' Heroine Chases After A Fiery Building In New Teaser Trailer
Would you defy reality to save your own mother?
[VIDEO] A Mysterious Box Makes Its Debut In The New 'Insurgent' Trailer
While the teaser for the sequel (which goes by the full, slightly cumbersome name of The Divergent Series: Insurgent) featured Woodley’s heroine and her mother (Ashley Judd) in what looked like a dream/test sequence, this new promo kicks things up several notches in terms of action, conflict, snogging, running and Miles Teller being a total douche.
Jeanine, it would appear, has gotten her hands on a strange glowing box that seemingly holds the key to power in the dystopian society so split into factions. But a divergent is apparently needed to open it. Cue a hunt for Tris even as she’s trying to rally forces to fight the Erudite’s grip on power…
The biggest enigma surrounding the trailer is probably this strange looking, blinking block of mystery and begs the question, "What's in the damn box?!'
And of course in true Insurgent style, we have Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) being total bada**es, doing things that normal human beings can't
The Divergent Series: Insurgent is set to hit Malaysian theatres on 19 March 2015.
Directed by Robert Schwentke, the sequel to Divergent stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, and Octavia Spencer in addition to franchise newcomer Suki Waterhouse.
imdb.com12 November: It's finally here, Initiates! The official teaser trailer for Insurgent, the second instalment of Veronica Roth's young-adult dystopian Divergent book series, has been released.
Insurgent picks up where the first film, Divergent, left off, with Tris (Shailene Woodley), Four (Theo James) and Caleb (Ansel Elgort) rallying their band of friends in a post-apocalyptic Chicago to foil the evil doings of those now in power, led by Erudite Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet).
people.comThe clip may only a minute long, but it's a pretty action-packed minute. Shailene Woodley reprises her role as Tris in the Divergent sequel and is the only lead character to appear in the teaser trailer, titled "Defy Reality"
We also got a glimpse of Tris' mother (played by Ashley Judd) calling for her from inside a burning structure that floats off the ground and into the sky...
... which then prompts Tris to chase after her mother and the fiery, floating building.
A series of character posters have also been revealed alongside the teaser trailer, featuring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Zoe Kravitz and Maggie Q.
