"You'll Sound Like A Flute" — 'Wicked' Cast Show Love For Pei Pa Koa Cough Remedy
Or as Jeff Goldblum calls it, "PEPPA cow".
Two stars of the musical film, Wicked, recently sang praises for Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa, which is a traditional remedy for sore throats and coughs
During a press junket interview with Hong Kong outlet, Dailynews Asia, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum were each gifted a box of the Chinese cough remedy.
While Grande and Goldblum were not familiar with Pei Pa Koa, Erivo and Bailey couldn't contain their excitement over the iconic remedy, sharing how it helped them keep their voice in top form during demanding performances.
"I love it. It's the most soothing thing for singers," Erivo gushed. She was so enthusiastic about the remedy that she immediately recommended it to Grande.
"I've heard of this, but I never used it," Grande admitted, clearly intrigued.
Erivo further emphasised her reliance on Pei Pa Koa, stating, "It's also delicious. Every time I've done a show, this is the thing I have to use." She even confessed to feeling anxious about almost running out of her own supply and was grateful for the timely gift.
Grande was excited to give Pei Pa Koa a try, declaring that she would "add it to her vocal box."
Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Bailey echoed Erivo's sentiments with equal excitement
"This got me through performing a musical eight shows a week," Bailey declared.
His enthusiastic endorsement caught Goldblum's attention, who exclaimed, "I need all the help I can get, if this really works!"
"You'll sound like a flute," Bailey quipped half-jokingly.
