The woman, who goes by Ms Qin, is understood to be a professional dancer

According to South China Morning Post, Ms Qin shared with Jiupai News that robot movements are similar to street dancing, making it easier for her to replicate them.

Her online fame came unexpectedly when her friends visited her restaurant one day and took a video of her dancing.

"By chance, they thought my impersonation was very realistic and recorded a video of me, which was then uploaded online," said Qin.

The video quickly went viral, fooling many people into thinking she was an actual robot. Since then, she has uploaded videos of her robotic movements on Douyin, China's equivalent of TikTok.
