[VIDEO] Malaysians Are Calling This Pilot's Announcement The Best One They've Ever Heard
"Making a left turn shortly at the coconut tree."
It's always a treat when Malaysians who work in service industries go above and beyond to provide the best experiences for their customers... or in this case, passengers
One Malaysian AirAsia pilot, who goes by Captain JFK, has been gaining attention on the Internet for his recent plane announcement.
In the caption of a video he posted, Captain JFK, who often shares about his life as a pilot, explained that many had asked him to post about his announcements, so he decided to share one from his last flight.
The video was taken during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, and depicts what people are calling "the best announcement" they've ever heard.
Captain JFK, who also works as a TraXX FM radio DJ, starts off by casually greeting passengers on board, while stating that they will be arriving earlier than expected
"Good news, we're looking at landing ahead of schedule into Singapore, approximately 15 minutes ahead of schedule, wee! I know, I'm excited as well," he says.
He goes on to explain that because Singapore's airport is really big, even if they land early, they will still probably get to the gate just a couple of minutes earlier than scheduled.
"No time difference lah, KL, Malaysia all we gang right, so no big difference there. Temperature on the ground is panas, like Malaysia," he says, while jokingly adding that the weather might still be unpredictable "like his wife".
Observing that they are passing by Melaka, Captain JFK tells passengers that they will "be making a left turn shortly at the coconut tree"
"So, passengers [on the left] will be seeing us do a very big U-turn and you'll always have Singapore on your left-hand side. Passengers on the right can enjoy passengers on the left enjoying views of Singapore on the left-hand side," he jokes.
The pilot goes on to assure that he will do his best to make the landing as smooth as possible, and continues to joke around
"If it goes gedebang (bam) later, I will take full responsibility. I'll blame it on the wind lah, blame it on... nah I'm kidding. As long as we land safe, that's the most important thing," he quips.
In the caption of his TikTok video, Captain JFK also stated that if anyone has any suggestions on how to make his flight announcements more educational and engaging, just let him know in the comments.
