The third session of the 14th Parliament finally convened yesterday, 26 July, the first time since the proclamation of Emergency earlier this year
Not only was the first day of the Parliament sitting filled with yelling from all sides of the political spectrum, but we also witnessed the Dewan Rakyat Speaker losing his temper.
With possibly millions of Malaysians tuning in from home, watching the Parliament sitting yesterday was not just to keep up with the political developments of the nation — it was also an outlet to look for the next meme.

1. "Name also cannot be consistent"
Short context: In June, it was announced that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will begin using his official name — Mahiaddin Md Yasin — in formal documents.
3. Azmin's 'presentation' did not go as well as he planned
Short context: Yesterday, International Trade and Industry Minister Azmin Ali held up a large printout to tell the august House that only 8.8% of the COVID-19 clusters came from the manufacturing sector. He also had a large printout showing an article.
As the minister was delivering his presentation, Puchong member (MP) of Parliament Gobind Singh Deo took a jab at Azmin for 'reading from the slide'.

"When we look at this PN (Perikatan Nasional) government, don't kid ourselves, this is not a Bersatu government alone. Where's UMNO? In social media, they make so much noise, but in the Dewan Rakyat, they're all quiet, they don't say anything," said the former youth and sports minister.
"Don't be afraid. If they want to threaten you, let them. Kita lawan (we fight). They (UMNO MPs) say on social media that the government has failed, but in the Dewan Rakyat they are quiet, they leave."
