Video Shows Emotional GrabFood Rider Hugging Man Who Broke Fast With Him & Gave Duit Raya
The video of the man's sweet gesture went so viral that it caught the attention of Grab and the company sent him a complimentary box of doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.
Earlier this week, a TikTok video of a man in Shah Alam breaking fast with a GrabFood rider, who was delivering his order, went viral
The man, Muhd Fareast, who describes himself as a random content creator on the popular video-sharing platform, uploaded the video on his TikTok account on Monday, 11 April.
The video, slightly above two minutes in length, has since been viewed over two million times.
It begins with Muhd Fareast first addressing the camera and then opening the door to his home in Shah Alam to welcome a GrabFood rider, who was there to deliver his food order.
Once Muhd Fareast has collected his order, he invites the rider to break his fast with him.
Hesitant at first, the rider tries to decline the invitation
However, Muhd Fareast manages to convince the rider into coming in just as the azan for Maghrib prayers and breaking of fast is heard in the background of the video.
In the next scene in the video, Muhd Fareast, the rider, and one other person are seen sitting around a table and eating together.
The TikToker then makes an excuse to leave the table to write a note of appreciation and secretly slips it together with some cash to the rider
Both the TikToker and his friend hide as the rider goes to wash his hands. When the rider comes back to the table and notices the note along with the cash, he is seen breaking down in tears.
Muhd Fareast comes out of hiding and the video ends with both the men hugging each other.
The video went so viral that it caught the attention of Grab
The company then sent Muhd Fareast a complimentary box of doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. In a second video uploaded on his account, he thanked Grab for their kind gesture.
