Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that young people who complete a required number of volunteer hours with selected non-governmental organisations (NGOs) will receive RM100 in e-wallet credit
During the tabling of Budget 2027 today, 9 October, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the initiative will be introduced under the Budi Belia programme.
He said the programme aims to instil noble values in young people and foster a more compassionate society.
"This is what MADANI means — compassion knows no racial boundaries.
"That is why these noble values must be instilled in our children. Therefore, the government will introduce the Budi Belia programme, under which young people who complete a required number of volunteer hours with selected NGOs will receive an e-wallet incentive of RM100," he said.
