As we usher in the prosperous Year of the Tiger, this also means that...

It marks a remarkably significant year for Tiger Beer too, woohoo! :D

As the Year of the Tiger only occurs once every 12 years, 2022 is an especially meaningful year for Tiger Beer, a renowned beer brand that has been around for almost 90 years.

And as we welcome the Year of the Tiger and 2022 with a renewed sense of hope, Tiger Beer has lined up an abundance of activities and promotions this festive season to evoke the tiger spirit among Malaysians. From beautiful art installations at Connection, Pavilion KL, to exclusive Tiger-themed merchandise, you're in for a fun-filled CNY.

Check out the activities and promotions Tiger Beer has in store this CNY:

1. Feast your eyes on Tiger Beer's "Roar Together" art installations, street decor, and a massive 3D screen at Pavilion KL

From now until 15 February, Tiger Beer has commissioned three up-and-coming artists from diverse backgrounds — Thomas Powell, Sheena Liam, and Pamela Tan — to design CNY-themed and significant artworks which will be located at Connection in the shopping mall.

Besides that, you can look forward to marvelling at eye-catching digital lanterns and other traditional Asian street decor, while also immersing yourselves in the 3D screen, both of which are located nearby the Pavilion Crystal Fountain.

And while you're at it, make sure to also take part in Tiger Beer's activities to score some exclusive merchandise!

Additionally, you can also redeem collectible Year of the Tiger ang pow packets when you purchase RM88 worth of Heineken Malaysia Berhad products at selected outlets in Pavilion. The participating outlets are Barbeque Nation, Hakata Ippudo, Michelangelo's, Quivo, Rocku Yakiniku, The Barn, and YuanLaoSi Hotpot.

There will also be various QR code touchpoints around the Connection area (can also be found on limited edition Tiger beer cans), which once scanned, gives you access to Tiger Beer's Augmented Reality (AR) 'Roaring Greetings' — customisable CNY greetings that you can post on social media and stand a chance to win a Tiger Beer CNY Mahjong set.

2. In collaboration with Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC), Tiger Beer will be selling non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of Tiger Beer artwork, whoaaaa :o

For the first time ever, Tiger Beer will be venturing into the blockchain world together with PMC to offer their NFT collection, known as The Tiger Archives.

What's cool about The Tiger Archives is that there will be hand-drawn vintage Tiger Beer artworks ingrained into each blockchain. Additionally, buying an NFT will also unlock a series of exclusive offers and features you'll get to enjoy throughout the year, from exclusive Tiger Beer merchandise, to thoughtfully-curated experiences by PMC.

The Tiger Archives will be available for sale from 30 January onwards. The best part? 30% of sale proceeds will go towards supporting local musicians, artists, and street food chefs via Tiger Beer's UNCAGE platform.

As a reminder, the legal drinking age in Malaysia is 21 years old. That means you need to be 21 and non-Muslim in order to buy and consume alcohol. Remember to always drink responsibly and in moderation. If you plan to drink, try carpooling with a friend who isn't drinking or catch a cab instead of driving.
