Sunway Putra Mall takes the lead as Malaysia's first autism-friendly mall. Every Tuesday is "Autsome Day", featuring dimmed lights, lowered music volume, and dedicated quiet zones. They also offer sensory walls and calm rooms for Autsome members needing a break from the hustle and bustle. On top of reserved parking privileges and shopping assistance, the mall has introduced a cat-assisted therapy (C-A-T) playground, where members can relax in the therapeutic company of cats.

1 Utama has introduced several autism-friendly facilities such as the Sensory Pod, which is designed for individuals with sensory processing differences. This calming space offers adjustable lighting, tactile elements, and noise-cancelling headphones, as well as a play space with inclusive equipment and quiet zones.

3. Headstart Academy

Headstart Academy offers the largest occupational and sensory gym in Malaysia for children aged 3 to 10 with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, and more. In a supportive 1:3 coach-to-child ratio, hour-long sessions focus on boosting coordination, gross motor skills, balance, fitness, and concentration.

Beyond physical benefits, kids engage in games fostering social interaction. Headstart provides access to top-notch facilities, including climbing walls and sensory equipment. Trial sessions are available for RM50.

We Rock The Spectrum is an autism-focused, indoor playground and kids' gym featuring specialised sensory equipment, trained staff, and engaging programmes that foster growth and development in a fun environment.
