The PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026 has wrapped up, with five players or pairs taking home championship titles across the singles and doubles categories:
1. Gabriel Tardio & Jessie Irvine — Mixed Doubles
Gabriel Tardio and Jessie Irvine staged a comeback to win the Mixed Doubles title.
The pair fought back from 2-7 down in the deciding game against Danni-Elle Townsend and Joey Wild before winning 5-11, 11-3, 12-10.
It was the first of two gold medals for both Tardio and Irvine at the tournament.
2. Gabriel Tardio & Noe Khlif — Men's Doubles
Tardio then teamed up with Noe Khlif to claim the Men's Doubles crown. They defeated second seeds Augustus Ge and Len Yang 11-9, 11-4 in the final.
That gave Tardio two titles on his Malaysian debut.
3. Jessie Irvine & Alix Truong — Women's Doubles
Irvine also picked up her second gold medal after winning the Women's Doubles title with Alix Truong.
The pair lost the opening game to Sahra Dennehy and Danni-Elle Townsend but recovered to win 5-11, 11-5, 11-6.
4. Tama Shimabukuro — Men's Singles
At just 15, Tama Shimabukuro added another singles title to his PPA Tour Asia campaign.
He defeated Noe Khlif 11-8, 11-5 in the final to win his second singles title in Asia. Shimabukuro previously won the Macao Open in May.
5. Kaitlyn Christian — Women's Singles
Top seed Kaitlyn Christian completed the five championship wins after beating Brooke Buckner in the Women's Singles final.
Christian lost the opening game 9-11 before winning the next two 11-4, 11-5 to take the title. The victory was her third consecutive win over Buckner.
