IKEA Cheras Swedish Restaurant is officially back in operation after its temporary closure on 17 June
IKEA confirmed that health inspectors from the Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Health Departments have verified that it now meets all required standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This comes after the outlet was previously ordered to shut down from 17 June, following a closure notice issued by health authorities, with operations suspended for around two weeks during maintenance and inspection works.
During the closure, IKEA said it made improvements across its kitchen operations and front-of-house areas
According to the company, this included refresher training for all staff, upgrading cutlery for customers, and introducing new furnishings in the dining hall to improve the overall dining experience.
Now reopened, IKEA is thanking customers for their patience and feedback, saying it plays a key role in helping the brand improve.
