[VIDEO] Gordon Ramsay Reacts To Khairulaming's Remake Of His Burnt Sugar Pudding Recipe
"Hello, Malaysia! We love Malaysia," Ramsay also says in the opening of the video.
World-famous TV personality and Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay has given our favourite local social media chef, Khairulaming, his seal of approval
In an Instagram post published this morning, 18 May, Khairulaming, whose full name is Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, excitedly announced that the celebrity chef has stitched a duet video on TikTok with one of his recipes.
"Guys, Gordon Ramsay [made a] duet video with my cooking," he said with gratitude.
The one-minute video shows Ramsay leaving a review on Khairul's cooking in his popular TikTok series
The UK chef, known for his tough criticism on reality series Hell's Kitchen, now often captures his hilarious reactions to other people's cooking videos on TikTok with many — way more toned down — comments.
The video he chose to review this time was Khairul's take on a recipe from Ramsay's own new cookbook, Unchartered, called 'Burnt Sugar Steamed Pudding'.
"Hello, Malaysia! We love Malaysia," Ramsay says in the opening of the video
"I do love this, the burnt sugar steamed pudding," he adds as he continues to comment on Khairul's instructions on preparing the dish.
"Yeah, knead that butter in. Now, get a spoon… We need to get you a bigger spoon for Christmas, that's a tiny spoon!" Ramsay quips at our local chef as he makes the batter.
"There are a few lumps in [that batter], kid!" he also also jokingly chides.
At the end of the video, Ramsay, who has 37 million followers on TikTok, tells Khairul "well done", and also offers to show him how to make the recipe again when he visits Malaysia next week.
Hundreds of Khairul's fans have since flooded the post to congratulate him for capturing the attention of the world-famous chef
"Another milestone! For global markets! Congratulations," wished an Instagram user.
Muar member of parliament Syed Saddiq, who was also in the comments section, said, "Always making Malaysia proud."
Meanwhile, another loyal fan jokingly warned, "Luckily, Gordon Ramsay complimented him, if he criticised Khairulaming, we will change his name to GORGON Ramsay!"
