Langkawi Pet Sanctuary Finds New Home After Facing Eviction. Here's How You Can Help
WOOFF Langkawi was given a deadline to find a new home by the end of last year.
Just a few months ago, WOOFF, Langkawi's beloved animal sanctuary, was facing an uncertain future
For nearly two decades, WOOFF has been a pillar of animal welfare in Langkawi, saving over 1,000 animals and helping control the stray population through their trap-neuter-release programme.
After 17 years of rescuing and caring for abused and abandoned animals, the land they called home was being sold.
With 160 dogs and 17 cats at risk of losing their safe haven, the sanctuary had until the end of the year to find a new location. To secure a new property, WOOFF launched an urgent appeal to raise RM380,000.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors, volunteers, and animal lovers worldwide, WOOFF has successfully secured new land! This milestone ensures that their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Langkawi's stray animals can continue.
Jeffrey Tan, WOOFF's founder, is an experienced and qualified animal behaviourist who recognises the urgent needs of stray dogs and cats in Langkawi.

However, not everything can be reused, and they still need funds to purchase essential supplies to ensure the new sanctuary is safe and comfortable for the animals.
Over the next couple of months, WOOFF will be working tirelessly to set up their new home — but they can't do it alone.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate – Contributions go towards building materials, food, and medical care for the animals. You can find the donation link here.
- Volunteer – If you're in Langkawi and want to help with the move, get in touch via email wooff@woofflangkawi.org, or dropping them a message on Instagram or WhatsApp (Jeffrey Tan).
- Spread the word – Share their story to help them reach more people who can contribute.
With continued support, WOOFF can rebuild and create a new safe haven for Langkawi's rescued animals. Let's help them turn this fresh start into a thriving home!
