"It's Impossible To Make It" — Locals Shook Over Traffic Light That Was Green For 1 Second
It's believed that the video was taken at a traffic junction in Melaka.
We've all had our fair share of frustrating experiences at traffic junctions when driving.
But one specific intersection located in Bandaraya Melaka may have taken the cake for the most headache inducing stop.
A recent clip posted to the public Facebook group 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians last Saturday, 10 December, has locals scratching their head at a traffic light intersection.
In the 11-second feature, the recorder of the video shows a Perodua Axia waiting at a traffic light that's red. As the traffic light counter trickles down to zero and turns green, the Axia begins to move and makes it through the stop.
The most astounding part, however, was the counter, which instantly turned amber as the traffic light remained green for just a split second.
The caption plastered across the video also read, "You thought that if I pressed the gas for one second that I could straight away speed off, is it?"
According to the comments section of the video, it has been revealed that this traffic light is located at a junction outside AEON MALL in Bandaraya Melaka.
Unsurprisingly, a bunch of Malaysians who discovered the video chimed in with their own take on this baffling traffic light
A few commenters stated that the video recorder should report the incident to the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) or their respective city council board, while a couple of others stated that the traffic light is clearly deficient in operation.
A couple of others felt bad for the Perodua Axia driver, as it was clear from the video, that he was stressed out about driving through that lane, edging towards moving forward in preparation for the light turning green.
"Pity the driver, he must have been so anxious to make that light," wrote one user.
Nonetheless, a few commenters couldn't help but make some wisecracks at the drivers' expense.
"His hands and legs had no chill at this stop," penned one Facebook commenter, while another stated that if the person was driving a manual car, they surely wouldn't be able to shift their gears in time.
