Malaysians, get your canvas ready.

Kuala Lumpur's first international tattoo convention is happening this year and it's going to be the largest one yet!

Tattoo Malaysia Expo is a series of annual events that was founded by Carlos Benny Majakil, the owner of Koiyak Gloves.

The annual exhibition has seen an increase in the number of visitors and artists after its first event in Sabah back in 2015, which had only 50 booths and 1,000 visitors.

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the expo will serve as a precursor for Malaysia's biggest event next year - Visit Malaysia 2020.

This November, the event will feature 130 local and international tattoo artists from over 40 countries

Some of the world's finest and renowned artists of traditional tattooing methods and modern machine style tattoo artists will be there, including those from:

- (Borneo) Malaysia,
- Thailand,
- South Korea,
- Italy,

- Hong Kong,
- Croatia,
- Vietnam,
- Tunisia,
- Singapore,
- Belgium,
- Spain,

- UK,
- Lebanon,
- Brazil,
- Spain,
- Taiwan and more.

"We are targeting 30,000 visitors to the expo this year, which is a lot more than what we had in KK (2,000) but we believe this is achievable as KL is a lot more accessible," tattoo artist Carlos Benny Majakil told The Star.

The expo will be held at KL Convention Centre from 29 November to 1 December
