Here's How You Could Help Your Favourite Teacher Win An Award And RM5,000 From McDonald's
It's time to honour those who gave so much to us.
The teachers who taught and guided us throughout our schooling years have undoubtedly played a huge part in shaping who we are today
Besides equipping us with knowledge, a good teacher also teaches us all kinds of important skills, values, and life lessons, that we'll carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Some teachers truly do go above and beyond for their students, treating them as so much more than just part of their job. While what they do may remain unseen to everyone else, their impact is absolutely unforgettable to those they've helped.
Such teachers truly do deserve recognition and the annual Anugerah Guru Inspirasi McDonald's aims to do exactly that
Anugerah Guru Inspirasi McDonald's first started back in 2017, making this its third run. This heartwarming award gives recognition to teachers who have gone beyond the call of duty in nurturing students and inspiring them to do better.
Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik commended the award when he recently launched this year's edition.
"I hope Anugerah Guru Inspirasi McDonald’s is able to spur teachers on to do their best inside and outside the classroom. I also hope we as society continue to honour our teachers for their endless unselfish deeds in making a lasting and positive impact on the students who shall become tomorrow’s leaders."
What makes this award extra meaningful is that the students themselves will be nominating their teachers via submissions that talk about how much their teacher has done for them
The 2017 and 2018 editions respectively received 1,000 and 3,000 submissions from students all around Malaysia. Last year, 25 of the most outstanding teachers from all the submissions were awarded for their exceptionally inspiring stories in nurturing the nation’s students.
