Held from 10 to 13 September, the inaugural ADIWARNA RUNWAY transformed the mall's centre court into a fashion and cultural hub in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations.

Presented in collaboration with the Malaysian Official Designers' Association (MODA), the event brought together 22 designers along with live entertainment and community runway activations.

The opening presentation saw the designers unveil signature creations tailored from an exclusive bespoke textile print inspired by the vibrant hues of the hibiscus, Malaysia's national flower

Throughout the event, 16 celebrated designers presented contemporary ready-to-wear, modern modest wear, and bespoke collections

Plus, visitors had the chance to bring some of the fashion home through the ADIWARNA Runway Bazaar.

Now in its second edition, the pop-up marketplace connected consumers directly with participating designers, offering ready-to-wear pieces and artisan accessories.

Several designers also shared how the platform gave them room to push their creative boundaries

For Arlina Amdan, founder and creative director of ARLINA AYOU, the craft itself carries the meaning.

"Batik has always been more than fabric to me. It holds the hands, care and stories of the people who make it.

"Every design starts with me, but it comes to life through the artisans I work with."

Leslie Variyan, founder and creative director of Variante, reflected on what the platform meant beyond the runway.

"It was heartwarming to see the genuine support and camaraderie among fellow designers, and wonderful for shoppers to see the clothes come to life on the runway. A great celebration of fashion, creativity and community."

A number of local artistes also made appearances and performed during the event

That's not all, families also got their moment in the spotlight through the Family Fashion Show, which followed a mall-wide model search held in August

The top 10 winning shopper pairs walked the runway in outfits styled by five MODA designers: Variante, Arlina Ayou, HERA, CASALWA, and NANALYANA.
