The first ever MR D.I.Y. Plus just opened in Mid Valley Megamall, and houses three different denominations of the brand within one space

Commencing just shy of two weeks ago, MR D.I.Y. is taking their franchise to brand new heights — literally.

The newest addition to the family is a two-storey outlet on the third floor of Mid Valley Megamall, that covers a massive space of 30,000 square feet.

We recently paid a visit to the booming outlet, and got all the details on what every nook and cranny has to offer. So instead of walking around for hours trying to find what you need, here's the full breakdown.

The central foyer of MR D.I.Y. Plus is littered with a mix of items, including kitchenware, gardening tools, and electronic appliances

Split into four sections throughout the space, let's begin by dissecting the first floor

The right side of the first floor is entirely dedicated to MR DOLLAR, the subsidiary dollar-store concept of MR D.I.Y.

With over 14,000 products, the best part of this section is that every item is between RM2 and RM5.

Each section is divided from sweet and savoury, to even dry and wet foods. Among the labels include bread and beverage, chocolate and sweets, snacks and biscuits, chilled and frozen, and even a designated grocery area.

Directly opposite to that on the left side of the first floor, is a portion of the MR D.I.Y. concept store

Focusing on the more durable equipment, all the hardware, gardening tools, and electrical appliances are arranged accordingly. However, some of the gardening appliances and pots have also been distributed upstairs.

Moving to the second floor, send your kids over to the bright pink quarter, while you brisk through the yellow quarter

On the right side of the second floor of MR D.I.Y. Plus comes MR TOY, another subsidiary of MR D.I.Y., that also happens to be the first Malaysian home-grown toy store chain.

With a wide selection of products, the area can be broken down into nine categories — vehicles and remote controls, pretend play and costumes, craft and activities, sports and outdoor play, action and adventure, building sets and blocks, learning, fun and games, party supplies, as well as infant and dolls.

There's even a designated section with jewellery and cosmetics.

Adjacent to MR TOY is the upstairs section of MR D.I.Y. that continues from the downstairs assembly. The products on the top floor include kitchen and dining appliances, household and home improvement items, as well as a personal care section.

A bridge connects the two sections with more items from MR TOY on display in square cabinets.

Modifying the escalators that ascend between floors, catch a ride straight to the top or take a stroll along the ramp to do more shopping

The area for escalators has been uniquely altered to cultivate on maximising product display.

On the right side of the ascent, use the escalators and make your way to the second floor seamlessly. However, if the shopping bug bit you badly, take a walk along the zigzag ramp, where an array of items from MR D.I.Y. and MR TOY are displayed

Last but certainly not least, cash out your purchases at the cashier counter that's right next to MR DOLLAR, at the entrance of the store.
