Malaysian Trainers, it is time to charge your Nintendo Switch consoles and lace up your running shoes. The Pokémon Company has announced a massive city takeover to celebrate its landmark 30th anniversary, and Kuala Lumpur is officially the first stop.

Dubbed 'PokéXciting!', this grand event series will hit Malaysia's capital from 12 to 13 September 2026.

The tour will eventually make its way to four other major Asian cities, including Taipei, Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok, through late 2026 and early 2027.

Fans can look forward to immersive city-wide activities, a family-friendly Pokémon Run, and special Trading Card Game (TCG) campaigns

There will also be interactive shopping mall zones, alongside updates for Pokémon GO players looking to catch 'em all.

The official Asia anniversary website is already live with nostalgic throwbacks. Pokémon fans can take a trip down memory lane to discover the rich history, original storylines, and evolution of the franchise since 1996 on the website.

"This celebration is a tribute to everyone who has journeyed with us over the decades," said The Pokémon Company corporate officer Susumu Fukunaga.

"Whether you are a current Trainer or a longtime fan returning to the world of Pokémon, we invite you to join us for this milestone experience," Fukunaga added.
