Irene adds that teaching young children to read helps them develop their language skills because "storybooks encourage them to think, dream, and unleash their imagination in all ways possible."
There are close to 10,000 books available for children of all ages and include every genre you can think of!

Although the couple are not currently taking book donations from the public, they are considering offering these services in the future.
Not sure where to start? Irene suggests board books for babies and picture books for toddlers.
"Visuals play a critical role in learning, teaching kids how to make references and develop self-awareness. These pictures are more than illustrations to children. Open up a picture book for your child and they instantly glow with enthusiasm. They look at the pictures almost as they would watch a movie," explains Irene.
"After they 'graduate' from picture books and become independent readers, children are able to tell you what books to buy :)"
Irene's personal favourite children's books are "everything by the classic children's author, Julia Donaldson."
