At the start, Jared chose Sunway Healthcare to seek medical attention because of its exceptional doctors and facilities. There, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Nevertheless, Dr Badrul played a crucial role in helping him comprehend the condition and start his road towards recovery. 

"He was very gentle with his words and the situation," Jared said.

Jared's assurance of being in capable and caring hands grew as Sunway provided him with a comfortable space to navigate through one of the most challenging times in his life.

"It's more than just telling someone, 'Hey, here's the cure,' but also knowing what to say and how to empathise with the person's condition," Jared said.

For Jared, Sunway became more than a medical facility; it became a place that made his journey through cancer more bearable. 

Sunway Pyramid was the country's first mall to feature an ice skating rink, complete with an ice skating academy. This is where Irene enthusiastically enrolled herself and her children for lessons.

"Pyramid Ice became a platform for my children to realise their potential. Without it, my son wouldn't have achieved his glory as a national athlete," she shared.

Irene also mentioned that Sunway Pyramid holds a special place in her heart as it was a go-to destination for her family while growing up. The plethora of dining options, clothing and grocery stores, along with opportunities to catch a movie and hit the gym, made it a versatile and cherished venue for their shared experiences.

Nowadays, she still frequents the mall almost daily to fulfil her shopping and lifestyle needs.

Coach Elle Filani shared that while conducting her programme, 'Master of Love and Destiny', at Sunway Resort, she experienced exceptional service from the hotel staff. Expressing her appreciation, Elle mentioned that the staff assisted and even carried her items from place to place as she was preparing for the coaching session.

"They knew how to anticipate each and every need that I had," she said.

The facilities at Sunway Resort were also ideal for both work and leisure. Elle's children enjoyed a delightful time playing by the pool, while also being attended by the hotel staff. The care provided by the staff gave Elle peace of mind while she focused on her work.

"When they took good care of my children, played with them, and actually interacted with them, that really, really touched my heart," Elle said.

Edward Lauh's connection with Sunway spans a lifetime — from being born within its walls to growing up under its canopy and receiving an education from its institution. Now, as an employee, he actively contributes to the ongoing legacy of Sunway.

Inspired by the joyful memories of his childhood at Sunway, Edward chose to become a content creator at Sunway Lagoon. Renowned for its water slides, themed rides, and family-friendly activities, Sunway Lagoon holds a special place in the hearts of many.

However, Edward's content creation surpasses a mere display of Sunway's attractions. Rather than focusing solely on showcasing the park, he directs his lens towards capturing the smiles and joy that Sunway Lagoon brings to people of diverse backgrounds. In a world marked by hustle and stress, Sunway Lagoon serves as a delightful escape, which is why Edward showcases a glimpse into the happiness that this theme park brings to its visitors.

From a young age, Jagadesan C. Mohan recognised that education was the key to success. With the support of a Sunway Community Scholarship, he had the opportunity to showcase his capabilities to the world.

He shares that Sunway University not only provides students with industry knowledge but also equips them with the skills that transform them into highly employable graduates. 

Reflecting on his educational journey, he said, "The educators were very friendly and motivated me to grow."

Today, Jagadesan runs his own health tech company, MyHealerDoc, demonstrating the impact of his education. Alongside his professional endeavours, he generously gives back by mentoring IT students and contributing to the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation through donations.

Alycia's family was among the early residents of Sunway City which allowed them to witness the entire transformation of Sunway coming to life around them. One of the things that Alycia likes about Sunway is that it is a safe environment to grow up in and is also convenient.

"Everything here is within a 15-minute walk, including the BRT station," she said.

Despite having travelled around the world, Alycia's family always finds their way back home to Sunway. Over the years, the value of her parents' house has increased significantly. However, due to their sentimental attachment, they plan to keep it for generations to come.
