Attention, Dr Noor Hisham Fans! You Can Now Get Limited Edition Pins Of The Health D-G
Warning: Do not use enamel pins on face masks.
Malaysia's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has got everybody paying attention to one particular person: Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah
International bodies have been praising him and the Ministry of Health (MOH) for their efforts in fighting the novel coronavirus.
He's been receiving lovely wishes, letters, and a tremendous amount of support from fellow Malaysians.
A local brand recently rolled out an enamel pin design that's meant for all the Dr Noor Hisham fans out there
On Sunday, 17 May, Gampang Pins uploaded photos of their release on Twitter along with a caption that read, "Datuk Dr Noor Hisham; a calm hero [worthy of being] your next favourite pin!"
One look at the pins and you can tell that it's the Health director-general right away. The brand definitely captured his essence by including his moustache, charming smile, and prominent face structure.
Gampang Pins also shared that they have sent a few pins to MOH and they're hoping to get a response from the Health D-G himself
The brand told SAYS, "We really like how calm Dr Noor Hisham is when it comes to dealing with a pandemic. He is truly a hero to all Malaysians. We decided to create a pin that will give everyone a memorable flashback of 2020 and how we all stayed at home amidst COVID-19."
They also added that their pins, including the Dr Noor Hisham ones, are not mass produced. Once it's gone, they will not replenish their stock.
There are only 50 pieces available and each pin has a number stamped behind it.
This adds a unique touch, making each product one of a kind.
The brand also carries other super cool designs.
They are mostly Malaysian-themed such as old school rubber slippers, Popo fish muruku, and even Ipoh nasi ganja.
Initially, Gampang Pins focused on creating a set of designs based on Ipoh's famous cuisines. Over the years, they've expanded and made more unique pins based on memes, funny phrases, and other nostalgic memorabilia.
Earlier this year, the brand collaborated with Malaysian punk band No Good and their collection was sold out within a day.
These pins range from RM20 to RM30 and each order comes with free stickers
