TNB's Touching Series 'Cahaya Impian' Shows How They Provide Housing To Malaysians In Need
A behind-the-scenes look at how TNB helps underprivileged families improve living conditions.
As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts (CSR) efforts, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) recently launched a new web series that shows how it serves the needs and aspirations of Malaysians from underprivileged backgrounds
The series, titled Cahaya Impian, highlights the stories of individuals in need of housing aid, along with TNB's efforts to help them find homes and realise their dreams along the way.
Across the six episodes, you'll get a glimpse into the difficult living circumstances experienced by impoverished individuals and families, as well as those dealing with disabilities and illnesses.
Through initiatives like Projek Baiti Jannati (PBJ) and Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR), TNB ensures these groups finally own a home. These initiatives are part of TNB’s CSR programme to repair, build, or finance the purchase of homes for those in need.
The first episode shows how these initiatives helped the families of Rizal and Rajoo, who were able to attain comfortable housing despite their financial difficulties.

Additionally, the show also highlights how TNB has joined hands with two major medical centres to create comfortable temporary living spaces for the families of patients
Through collaborations with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II in Kelantan, the thoughtfully designed Better Brighter Dormitory and Better Brighter Anjung Kasih living spaces were constructed.
These living spaces provide free lodging for caregivers and loved ones traveling from afar, ensuring they can remain close to patients undergoing treatment.
