Got a drawer, piggy bank, or random container at home filled with coins you never use?

There's a machine at The Gardens Mall that can turn them into Touch 'n Go eWallet credit or vouchers to spend at a restaurant.

Called Kah-ching, the coin exchange machine was recently spotted by content creator Tammy Lim, who shared how it works.

The machine is located at Snitch By The Thieves at The Gardens Mall, and using it is pretty straightforward

Just pour your coins in and let the machine do the counting.

First, choose whether you want your coins exchanged for Touch 'n Go (TNG) eWallet credit or outlet cash vouchers

Key in your contact number, then drop your coins into the machine's metal bin.

Kah-ching will automatically count them and show you the total amount

Any rejected coins will be returned, so you can take them home or try your luck elsewhere.

For those choosing the TNG eWallet option, there is a service fee of RM1 or 12% of the total amount, whichever is higher.

So, for example, if you put in RM20 worth of coins, the 12% fee would be RM2.40, leaving you with RM17.60 in TNG credit.
