1 Dead & 2 Injured In Yet Another Fatal Crash Involving A Container Lorry
This is the second such crash in as many days.
A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic multi-vehicle collision involving a 40-tonne trailer, a Honda Civic, and a Yamaha MT09 motorcycle near Machap, Johor, earlier this morning, 15 November
According to Renggam Fire and Rescue Operation Commander Abd Rahim Razali, who led the emergency response, authorities received the report of the accident at 7.43am. The 33-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Health Ministry medical team.
The crash also injured two men, aged 25 and 26, who were travelling in the Honda Civic, while the driver of the trailer escaped unharmed, reported Buletin TV3.
"The car driver was trapped and had to be extricated using special equipment, while another passenger was taken to the hospital by members of the public present at the scene," Abd Rahim explained.
The multi-vehicle collision happened along KM 69.5 of the North-South Expressway.
The cause of the accident remains unclear
Emergency services were dispatched from the Renggam Fire and Rescue Station, along with support from BBP Ayer Hitam, mobilising 12 personnel and two fire engines to manage the situation.
Photos and videos of the crash scene were widely circulated on social media, contributing to severe traffic congestion on the expressway as authorities worked to clear the wreckage.
