A helicopter caught fire while attempting to land in Bentong, Pahang, earlier today, 6 February, resulting in one fatality
According to the New Straits Times, the Bell 206L4 helicopter was landing for refueling on Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Bentong when it fell onto its side and caught fire.
A victim was confirmed dead at the scene after being struck on the head by a rotor blade.
The deceased, a 44-year-old Indonesian man, was a helicopter engineer.
Meanwhile, the pilot, also an Indonesian national, escaped unharmed in the 10.30am incident.
