16-Year-Old Johor Boy Stabbed To Death By Older Sister After Arguing Over Car Seat Spot

The sister of the victim admitted to throwing a knife at her younger brother after both entered the house.

A 16-year-old teenage boy was allegedly stabbed to death by his older sister, aged 18 years old, after fighting over a car seat spot with her

Following a report by Harian Metro, the siblings, who are from Ulu Choh, Johor, had allegedly been fighting over a car seat spot when returning home from school on Wednesday, 19 October.

According to the victim's mother, upon arriving home, the older sister allegedly threw a knife at her younger brother in frustration, after he ridiculed and teased her.

Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP Rahmat Ariffin made a statement saying that police were called to the scene at 2.15pm, where the victim eventually succumbed to his injuries.

He was confirmed dead at the scene at 2.30pm. His body was transported to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru to undergo an autopsy.

The older sister has been arrested and taken into police custody, where she admitted to her actions

She will be remanded for six days, starting 20 October until 25 October. The suspect appeared in court alone with no family members in sight. She reportedly appeared indignant when attending her court case.

According to an unidentified family member, she is reportedly a Form Six student at the Maahad Pontian religious secondary school where her late brother used to attend.

She is the eldest child out of five children with her late brother being the second oldest.

This incident came as a shock to family members as they reported that both siblings were raised in a household filled with love and piety

An anonymous family member said that all members of the family were very close with one another.

"Both siblings are good children and very intelligent because they often achieve excellent results in exams and are the hope of the family," they told Harian Metro reporters, adding, "They were taught not to skip prayers and obey religious rules. When I received the news about this unfortunate incident, I refuse to believe it because it was very tragic and heartbreaking."

The parents of the siblings are reportedly shaken up and refuse to leave their house since the incident occurred.
